A: Anti-glaucomatous eye drops related to the prostaglandin analogues’ group .
- Q: How should Ioprost be stored?
A: If unopened? the bottle should be stored under refrigeration at 2ºC to 8ºC.
Once opened? it may be stored at room temperature up to 25ºC for 4 weeks & should be protected from sunlight.
- Q: Can Ioprost be administered at the same time with other different eye drop medicines?
A: Generally, one should wait at least 5 min. between placing Ioprost & any other eye drop medicine.
You should also consult your physician to make sure that Ioprost is not contraindicated with any of the other medicines.
- Q: Do I need to take off my contact lenses before using Ioprost?
A: Yes, you need to take off your contact lenses before Ioprost administration, and then wait for 15 minutes before you insert them again.
- Q: What should I do if I missed my Ioprost dose?
A: Just apply the next drop as usual on the next day & never try to catch up by putting in 2 drops on the next day.
- Q: What is the Ioprost daily dose?
A: The Ioprost dose is: 1 drop in the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening.
