Tears Guard Safety Profile
Tears guard is well tolerated by users . In normal use, the eye’s
natural enzymes completely and rapidly neutralize H2O2
into harmless water and oxygen in 60 sec.
- H2O2
concentration is approximately 60 parts per million (ppm) or 0.006% this
amount is imperceptible to the patient .
- Amount of H2O2
needed to produce burning and irritation in ocular tissue is between 210
– 800 ppm.
- Repeated dosing and patient's age have no significant effect on
the eye's natural ability to neutralize H2O2
.
