patients observed over a period of 12 weeks.

the Timogel recommended dose?
A: The usual
dose is one drop of Timogel 0.1 % in the
morning.

are the Timogel contraindications?
A: Timogel is contraindicated with Bronchial asthma, bronchospasm, history of bronchial asthma or severe chronic ,obstructive pulmonary disease, Uncontrolled congestive cardiac insufficiency, cardiogenic shock, Severe atrio-ventricular block, Raynaud’s phenomenon, Severe bradycardia (pulse rate < 45 to 50/min.) and Hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation.

does the new vehicle work?
A: Carbomer and tear mucin interact (Carbomer swells in the tear film) and form non-covalent bonds which mimic the attachment of mucin to corneal epithelium.

Patients already take beta-blockers orally can be Timogel prescribed?
A: Yes, they can but should be
observed for a potential additive effect either on the intraocular
pressure or on the known systemic effects of
beta-blockers.
